generators leave behind.

Plastic skin, hair fused into a single mass, fabric flattened to a gradient. Mirifics rebuilds the texture instead of smoothing it away, and enlarges up to 4× in the same pass.

What gives a generated image away.

It is rarely the composition. It is the surface: everything in the frame carries the same gloss, and detail that should be irregular comes out averaged.

  • Skin that looks moulded rather than lit
  • Hair merged into one mass instead of separate strands
  • Knit and weave reduced to a smooth gradient
  • Halos along high-contrast edges from over-sharpening
  • The same uniform sheen across every material in the frame

A pass built for this,
not a generic upscaler.

A generic upscaler multiplies pixels and raises local contrast, which only makes the flatness bigger. This pass captions the frame first and uses that description to guide the reconstruction, so it is rebuilding texture rather than sharpening what is already there.

One control: how much larger, from 1× to 4×. The description is the second lever, and it decides which of two jobs you are asking for. Left empty, the pass is conservative: it holds your frame, lifts surface texture a little and strips the halos off the edges. Written in, it rebuilds texture properly — and is willing to rework the frame to do it. Which you want depends on whether the image is finished or still being made.

What it will not do.

Worth knowing before you spend a credit, because no pass of this kind can do these things and anyone claiming otherwise is selling you something.

  • Invent information that was never captured. It resolves what is implied in the frame; it cannot reveal a face turned away.
  • Fix anatomy. Six fingers stay six fingers, in sharper focus.
  • Hold your composition if you give it a description. Without one it stays put; with one it may re-work the frame. That is a choice you make per run, not a defect.
  • Keep a face identical. A described run can redraw features enough that a recurring character stops looking like the same person. If you are building a consistent character, run without a description and check the face before you commit.
  • Rescue a thumbnail. Start from the largest version you have.

Questions people actually ask.

Does it work on images from Midjourney, Stable Diffusion or Flux?

Yes. The pass works on the pixels in front of it and does not care which generator produced them, or whether a generator was involved at all.

Will it change my image?

That depends on one thing: the description. Leave it empty and the pass is careful. Measured on our test frame, the composition moved less than our own threshold for calling two images the same shot, fine texture on surfaces rose about a fifth, and the bright halos along high-contrast edges actually fell by a tenth — it takes the over-sharpening off rather than adding more. Fill the description in and the pass leans on your words: roughly eight times the texture gain, and it holds at every scale we measured. The price is that the frame can be reworked, and pose, hands and background may shift. How far it travels depends on the source: on a photorealistic test image a described run moved the frame about four times as much as an undescribed one, and on a softer, more illustrated one it moved half again as far. The less photographic the input, the further the pass goes to make it photographic. If the frame must not move, leave the description empty.

How large can the file be?

Up to 20 MB. Before sending, the app scales the image down to 1200 px on the long side; tick Restore to original size and the result comes back at the dimensions you started with.

What does one run cost?

10 credits. Five dollars buys 100 credits, which is ten runs. New accounts get 30 credits free, no card required.

How long are my images kept?

14 days, then files and records are deleted automatically. Download what you want to keep.

Bring your worst one.

Thirty credits, three full runs, no card. If it does not hold up on your own image, nothing here will convince you.
